"Carolyn excels at fostering independence in children, while doing it in a way that ensures their safety and provides clear boundaries. The depth of her knowledge about the developmental stages of children and how to apply Montessori concepts around the home is so impressive. It’s clear that it’s not just a job to her, but her life’s passion!
Carolyn was instrumental in ensuring we had the appropriate tools and set-up in our home to support out son. Carolyn provided guidance on kitchen tools we could get so our son could help with dinner prep and table setting. She also gave us guidance on how to set up his room and display and rotate his books to ensure he was staying interested and curious.
Carolyn also helped us problem solve with a few problem areas our son was struggling with. One in particular revolved around our son getting everything together and getting ready to leave each morning. He would dig his heels in and there would be some reason that he wouldn’t want to leave (didn’t want to put on sunscreen, shoes, etc.). It was fascinating to watch how calmly Carolyn handled the situation. She would make sure that our son felt heard, but would come up with a creative way to get him over that hump each day. And pretty soon there weren’t any issues. She gave us some coaching on how to handle it at home when we saw the same kind of challenge. It was a huge help to have her guidance to get past those kind of issues in such a peaceful way."

"I knew that Carolyn's report would help our son exercise his independence, but I was surprised by how far even little changes would go. Previously if our son made a mess, he would wait for me to give him instructions or to clean it up. Now he rushes to the cabinet, gets his spray bottle and rag and starts cleaning. He is glad that he does not always have to ask for help, and our lives as parents have become easier. Carolyn has a very warm nature, and she made us feel very comfortable. I got way more than I expected! Her advice is going to stay with us for a long time!"
